As we celebrate our 60th Anniversary Season, we're excited to introduce a new name and visual identity that reflect who we are today while honoring the legacy of those who have come before us.
Since our founding in 1966, our choir has been known as Springfield Mid-America Singers. Over the years, however, friends, supporters, and members of our community have simply come to know us as "Springfield Singers" which is easier to remember, easier to say, and easier to identify. As we begin this new chapter, we're embracing the name by which we've long been affectionately referred to in conversation.
Our new identity strengthens our connection to the Springfield community while providing a simpler, more recognizable identity for future generations. Along with our refreshed logo and branding, it reflects both our rich heritage and our vision for the future.
While our name is changing, our mission remains the same:
To enrich our community through exceptional choral music.
To provide meaningful musical experiences for singers and audiences alike.
To preserve a tradition of artistic excellence while embracing new opportunities for the future.
Throughout this anniversary season, you'll begin seeing our new name on our website, concert programs, social media, and promotional materials. We hope you'll celebrate this exciting new chapter with us.
New name. Same mission. Sixty seasons of making music together—and we're just getting started.
